5 Shootings In Minneapolis Tuesday Leave 5 Wounded And 1 Dead

The fatal shooting Tuesday night marked the 30th homicide for 2020 in Minneapolis.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Six people were shot in Minneapolis Tuesday in five different incidents. One person died.

The fatal incident happened just after 11 p.m. Police responded to the 2100 block of Emerson Avenue North after a ShotSpotter activation and multiple 911 reports of gunfire and screaming.

Officers found two men in the early 20s suffering from gunshot wounds and were transported to the hospital.

One man was treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The other was pronounced dead. The fatal shooting marked the 30th homicide for 2020 in Minneapolis.

Minneapolis police assisted the Minneapolis Park Police on a shooting involving a woman.

Officer responded to multiple reports of gunshots. A man in his mid-20’s
was located with apparent, multiple gunshot wounds. A man was transported to
HCMC and taken immediately into surgery. Minneapolis Police are
investigating.

Woman in her late 20’s arrived at HCMC with non-life-threatening gunshot
wounds. She said she was in a vehicle at the time of the shooting. Officers
and investigators located a scene near 10th St N and Hawthorne Ave.

Man with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds arrived at HCMC and stated that he had been shot somewhere on the northside. Minneapolis Police are investigating.
