9 Twin Cities Target Stores Will Be Remodeled In 2019

In total, 14 Minnesota Target stores will be remodeled this year.

TWIN CITIES, MN — A total of 14 Target stores in Minnesota, including nine in the Twin Cities metro area, will see remodels this year. The Minneapolis-based retailer will invest approximately $50 million to remodel the nine metro stores alone.

The remodels aim "to deliver an even easier and more inspiring shopping experience for guests. See below for full list of stores," a Target official told Patch in an email.

The Twin Cities plans are part of a broader goal to remodel more than 1,000 stores across the country through 2020. According to Target, the customers of the remodeled stores can expect:

  • "Merchandising displays that really let the products shine with additional mannequins to inspire guests with one piece or a head-to-toe outfit and product moments that showcase how different assortment pieces work together."
  • "Specialty lighting to create a warm and inviting atmosphere and modern décor and colors with increased sight lines so guests can explore even more as they walk through the space."
  • "Separate Order Pickup and Guest Service counters to ensure an even easier and faster experience for guests picking up online orders."
  • "The addition of a nursing space to make shopping at Target even easier for new moms."

The 2019 Twin Cities area remodel locations are:

  • Bloomington
  • Crystal
  • Shakopee
  • Buffalo
  • Eagan
  • Stillwater
  • Cottage Grove
  • Edina
  • Vadnais Heights

Minnesota's Target stores in Virginia, Buffalo, Hutchinson, Winona, and Baxter will also be remodeled, reports the Star Tribune.
