After Reported Threat, Twin Cities Catholic School Cancels Regular Classes
A reported threat involving a student lead DeLaSalle High School to cancel regular classes Wednesday and host an online learning day.
MINNEAPOLIS, — A Catholic school in the Twin Cities is hosting an "online learning day" instead of regular classes Wednesday after a potential threat was reported.
After classes on Tuesday, DeLaSalle High School staff say they learned of a potential threat made by student.
DeLaSalle contacted the Minneapolis Police Department to report the potential threat, and school administrators began working with local law enforcement to investigate the incident and ensure safety.

On Tuesday evening, school administrators told parents in an email that a student had posted a threat and an image of a gun on social media, WCCO reported.
"We have received cooperation from the student, the student's parents, and the local agencies we have contacted," the school said in a statement. "This is an unprecedented situation at DeLaSalle."

The school said that as a matter of caution, the school's president, Barry Lieske, made the decision to conduct a remote learning day for students on Wednesday.
