Amazon Hiring 200 More Workers In Minneapolis
Amazon's Minneapolis tech hub is one of more than a dozen hubs nationwide that build new products and services for customers.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — It's not a new headquarters, but Amazon has announced plans to expand its Minneapolis Tech Hub and create 200 high-tech jobs in fields including transportation technology and cloud computing.
Amazon’s Minneapolis tech hub is one of more than a dozen tech hubs nationwide that invent and build new products and services for Amazon customers. The team of researchers and engineers in Minneapolis primarily focus on transportation technology.
“Amazon is excited to create 200 new research, engineering and cloud computing jobs in Minneapolis,” Ari Silkey, General Manager of Amazon’s Minneapolis office, said in a statement.

Together with its customer fulfillment facilities in Eagan and Shakopee, Amazon says it has created more than 2,000 full-time jobs in Minnesota and since 2015 invested more than $400 million into the state.
