MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A new South Minneapolis burger spot is getting national attention.
Le Burger 4304 has been named one of the top new burger restaurants in the United States, according to a list from Food & Wine.
The publication highlighted six standout burger spots across the country, drawing from input from more than 400 chefs, food writers, and travel experts.
Le Burger 4304 stood out not just for its high-end ingredients but for how it elevates a familiar classic.
Owned by Jonathan Gans and Josh Hoyt, who previously worked at the former Minneapolis restaurant The Bachelor Farmer, the restaurant, blends fine-dining touches with a straightforward approach to burgers.
The menu features wagyu beef patties, with options to add upscale ingredients like foie gras. Caviar is even available as a side. But the core appeal, according to the write-up, is how well the restaurant executes the basics.
One burger, the L’Americain, was described as a cheffed-up version of a fast-food staple, likened to a McDonald’s Quarter Pounder with Cheese “at its absolute best.” The restaurant’s thrice-cooked fries were also singled out.
Le Burger 4304 has already expanded beyond Minnesota, recently opening a second location in Cleveland.
The full list also includes burger spots in San Francisco, New York City, Houston, Portland and Miami.
