Niche's 2026 rankings list tuition at some Twin Cities private schools above $40,000 a year. Here's how they stack up.

TWIN CITIES, MN — Private school tuition in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro isn't cheap, and at the top of the market, it's approaching levels once reserved for elite East Coast boarding schools.

That's according to Niche, whose 2026 rankings cover 30,000 private schools nationwide. Niche incorporates test scores, enrollment data, facility resources, and reviews from students, parents, and educators to generate its grades and rankings.

Here are the most expensive private schools in the Twin Cities area, according to Niche:

The Blake School (Hopkins) — $40,000/year

A nonsectarian PK-12 school that earned an A+ Niche grade and ranks among the top private schools in the state.


St. Paul Academy and Summit School (St. Paul) — $39,420/year
