Back To School: Minneapolis 2021-22 School Calendar

MINNEAPOLIS — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Minneapolis, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Minneapolis Public Schools.

The first day of school for most students in Minneapolis is Sept. 8.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual, and hybrid learning is still possible in Minneapolis.

Like last year, these policies could change any time before the first day

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

First day of school for grades 1-12: Sept. 8

First day of school for Pre-K and Kindergarten: Sept. 10

MEA break: Oct. 20-22

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-26

Winter Break: Dec. 22-31

Spring Break: March 28-31

Last Day: June 10
