Biblelot Stores Will Close If Not Bought: Report

TWIN CITIES, MN — The four Bibelot stores in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro could close if the chain isn't bought out. The first Bibelot store opened in Saint Anthony Park in 1966.

The original owner, Roxana Freese, is planning to retire.

If the stores aren't bought from Freese, the chain will close, general manager Janet Haugan told KSTP Monday.

"She started this business 52 years ago and she is just ready to retire," Haugan told the news station.

"We're thrilled for her and we just hope she can go out with a bang."

The Bibelot has locations in Saint Anthony Park, on Grand Avenue, in Linden Hills, and in Northeast.
