Bicyclist Dies After Colliding With Van In Minneapolis
A woman has died after colliding with a van while biking in north Minneapolis early Thursday.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A woman has died after colliding with a van while biking in north Minneapolis early Thursday. Minneapolis police responded to a personal injury crash involving a vehicle and bicyclist at the intersection of Lowry Avenue North and 2nd Street North at 5:42 a.m. Friday.
An adult female bicyclist was traveling northbound on 2nd Street North and an adult male in a vehicle was traveling westbound on Lowry Avenue North when they collided, according to police.
Paramedics from North Memorial Health Hospital (NMHH) arrived and transported the victim to NMHH by ambulance where she died from her injuries. The name of the deceased, as well as the cause and nature of her death, will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police said the adult male driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. This crash is being investigated by the Minneapolis Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit as well as the Minnesota State Patrol, according to a news release.
