Body Found In Mississippi River Near I-35W Bridge

MINNEAPOLIS — Authorities are investigating after a body was found in the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. Hennepin County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with police officers and firefighters from Minneapolis, responded to a report of a body in the Mississippi River near the Interstate 35W Bridge just past the St. Anthony Lock and Dam at about 12 p.m.

When first responders arrived, they located a deceased adult male in the river.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is investigating. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will make the identification and official cause of death.
