Body Found On Railroad Bridge: Homicide Investigation Launched
A body was reported on the bridge near 16th Avenue Northeast and Marshall Street Northeast Tuesday morning.

MINNEAPOLIS — Police have launched a homicide investigation after a body was found on a railroad bridge in northeast Minneapolis Tuesday. Just after 6:30 a.m., a body was reported on the bridge near 16th Avenue Northeast and Marshall Street Northeast.
Homicide investigators responded to the scene to check for possible witnesses, evidence and surveillance video. The crime lab also responded to process the crime scene for evidence, according to a news release.
The identity of the victim, as well as the nature and cause of his death, will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Investigators from the MPD Homicide Unit are actively investigating this case and are encouraging anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
