MINNEAPOLIS — A Minneapolis man has pleaded guilty to one count of sex trafficking of a minor in federal court, U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger announced Tuesday.
Charles William Dexter III, 41, faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison. A sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled.
According to authorities, in August 2020, Dexter "recruited" a 14-year-old child to engage in commercial sex acts for his benefit.

Dexter then used online advertisements — including on Megapersonals.com — to arrange for commercial sex acts, prosecutors said. The commercial sex acts would take place at hotels, according to investigators.
