Crooked Pint Ale House Coming to 40th and Lyndale
As the downtown ale house plans a Southwest Minneapolis location, parking issues have put the site plan in question, according to online reports.

Where to park cars for a future Crooked Pint Ale House at the former Super America site at 40th and Lyndale—and what shape the establishment itself will take—were discussion points at a May 21, 2013 meeting reported by the Southwest Journal and detailed at the Kingfield Neighborhood Association website.
The KNA site said the latest plan as:
"... what they are calling Crooked Pint Reduced, for a restaurant that does not utilize the vacant lot next door and thus does not require a zoning change or parking overlay or neighbors’ approval. The design of which is concerning as it utilizes the existing Super America building as the restaurant, retains the parking in front facing Lyndale Avenue, neither of which speak to the redevelopment and design goals of KFNA, the 40th and Lyndale Task Force, or the City of Minneapolis."

The Southwest Journal reported that Crooked Pint owner Paul Dzubnar was:
" ... gaining more signatures to rezone a residential lot for parking. But if he can't collect the required signatures, he has a backup plan: a smaller restaurant with later hours and parking positioned on the corner. "I'm excited either way, because something is going to come," said owner Paul Dzubnar. ... "Plan B is a scare tactic," said Art Quinn, who lives near the site. "It's just a negotiation game."
