Easter 2019: Grocery Stores Open, Closed In Twin Cities

Here are the retailers that will keep their doors open Easter Sunday in Minnesota.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — If the Easter bunny somehow forgets to deliver candy this Sunday, April 21, you may need to make quick trip to the local supermarket. If that happens, don't fret: many Twin Cities retailers will still be open Easter Sunday.

As with most holidays, it's best to call ahead you go. But here's what's open on Easter Sunday around the Twin Cities metro area:

  • Trader Joe's Stores will close at 5 p.m.
  • CVS: open regular hours on Easter
  • Whole Foods (hours may vary depending on store location)
  • Walmart: open regular hours on Easter
  • Hy-Vee (hours may vary depending on store location)
  • Cub Foods (hours may vary depending on store location)

  • Lunds and Byerys: stores are closed
  • Kowalski's Markets: stores are closed
  • Target: stores are closed
  • ALDI: stores are closed
  • Sam's Club: stores closed

Libraries, schools (including the University of Minnesota), and most government offices including the post office will also be closed.
