Electronics Recycling before the Holidays for a Good Cause
Getting ready for the holidays and have a pile of electronics to recycle? Recycle them today for a good cause!

Tech Dump, an electronics recycling nonprofit, invites you to clean electronics out of your closets, drawers, and basements before your holiday company and gifts arrive. Not only will you de-clutter, you’ll also help create jobs at Tech Dump for adults with barriers to employment.
Tech Dump is a local, social enterprise, fully-funded through the collection and recycling of electronics. Items are refurbished and recycled in an environmentally friendly way, while providing stable jobs and on-the-job training to economically disadvantaged adults. Tech Dump reports that for every 72 thousand pounds of electronics collected, approximately one job is created for a year for an adult that has spent time in the justice system or is in recovery from addiction.
Tech Dump recycles all sorts of electronics (they accept anything with a cord, cable, or battery, that isn’t a large home appliance). The only items with a charge to recycle are the old tube/CRT TVs and monitors. Their website, TechDump.org, provides a list of what is and is not accepted.

Amanda LaGrange, Director of Marketing, shared, “This year has been a year of growth—we opened a second location, adding many jobs for adults with barriers to employment. We are very close to hitting a new record of 4 million pounds of electronics recycled, so we hope as residents and businesses get ready for the holidays, they’ll take time to recycle their gadgets and help us hit this big milestone.”
Tech Dump invites both residents and businesses to learn more about their service atTechDump.org and to either drop off items to their warehouses in St Paul or Golden Valley (Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm) or schedule a pick-up.
