On the north end of Lake Harriet by the band shell, the 10th annual Kitefest will take flight. Watch kites from all flights of life while sipping hot cocoa by bonfires, and partake in family friendly activities such as a medallion hunt, horse drawn cart rides and ice fishing.
Bring your own kite or purchase one at the festival to practice the new skill being demonstrated by the Minnesota Kite Society.
Ice fishing will be led by the DNR, no licenses or equipment is required as the DNR will provide everything needed.
