Join the Northeast Community Band for a free concert of holiday favorites on Thursday, Dec. 15, 7 p.m. at Washburn High School Auditorium, 201 West 49th St., Minneapolis. Among the usual holiday favorites, the band will
play along side the Nova Jazz Orchestra in a battle of the Nutcracker Suite, Tchaikovsky’s classic version versus Duke Ellington’s jazz version.
