Flight Makes Emergency Landing in MSP After Passenger Tries to Open Rear Door
Alaskan Airlines Flight 7 made an emergency landing at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport after a passenger tried to open the rear door.
Alaska Airlines Flight 7 made an emergency landing at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport (MSP) this morning after a passenger tried unsuccessfully to open a door while the plane was at cruising altitude.
The Star Tribune reported that the plane departed JFK Airport about 7:15 a.m. ET and landed at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport at 9:45 a.m. CT after a man attempted to use one of the doors in the rear of the aircraft.

An Alaskan Airlines spokeswoman told the Star Tribune that opening a door while the aircraft is in flight is impossible due to air pressure outside the plane.
The Boeing 737-900ER resumed its flight to Seattle at about 11:40 a.m.
