Gas Leak Contained, Minneapolis Trains Resume Normal Schedule

A gas leak near U.S. Bank Stadium temporarily shut down train service in Downtown Minneapolis Wednesday.

UPDATE: Green and Blue Line trains are resuming service now in downtown Minneapolis between U.S. Bank Stadium and Target Field Stations.


MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Due to a gas leak in the area, Metro Transit announced Wednesday afternoon that trains are not operating at several stations in Minneapolis, including:

  • U.S. Bank Stadium
  • Government Plaza
  • Nicollet Mall
  • Warehouse District/Hennepin Ave
  • Target Field

For alternative service, Metro Transit asks commuters to board Route 3 buses on 4th Street.
