Gas Prices Fall To $2.12 In Minnesota

Stores in Mahnomen, Little Falles, Elk River, Sartell, and Red Wing have the lowest prices in the state.

MINNESOTA — Though road conditions haven't been ideal after Wednesday night's snowstorm, there's good news for motorists in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Gas prices in Minnesota are continuing their steep decline.

As of Thursday, several gas stations in Minnesota are selling fuel for below $2.20 per gallon, including stores in Mahnomen, Little Falles, Elk River, Sartell, and Red Wing

According to GasBuddy.com, they have gas for between $2.12 and $2.18 per gallon.

In the Twin Cities metro, the Costco in Burnsville (14050 Burnhaven Dr & 141st St W) is at $2.28 per gallon. Most stations in the metro hover between $2.30 and $2.45.

Prices in Wisconsin have dropped below the $2 mark.

The national average price for a gallon of gasoline is down 7.8 cents per gallon over the last week to $2.53 per gallon, the lowest level since March 16, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 10 million individual price reports.

The national average price of diesel saw modest relief as well, falling 2.4 cents to an average of $3.19 per gallon.
