Girl, 15, Shot Dead In Calhoun Isles Neighborhood Of Minneapolis
No arrests have been made after a teen girl was shot and killed early Monday morning in south Minneapolis, police said.

MINNEAPOLIS — A 15-year-old girl was shot dead early Monday morning, according to the Minneapolis Police Department. No arrests have been made.
Just before 1:30 a.m., officers from the Fifth Precinct responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Girard Avenue South and 25th Street West in the Calhoun Isles neighborhood.
The teen girl was found at the location with a life-threatening gunshot wound. EMS treated her with life-saving efforts, but she died at the scene.

"Circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this time," the police department said in a news release.
"Officers interviewed witnesses and canvased the area. Forensic scientists from the Minneapolis Police Forensic Division responded to process the scene and collect evidence. Homicide investigators responded to begin their investigation."
