Help Name The Newest Park In Minneapolis

Hennepin County recently transferred ownership of the Cepro site to the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis has added a new park after Hennepin County transferred ownership of the Cepro site (2828 11th Ave S) to the the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. The site is a 1.65-acre green space that includes a Y-shaped trail connection to the Midtown Greenway, an urban agriculture zone, pathways, and seating.

Hennepin County acquired the former grain elevator site in 2000.

The elevators were demolished in early 2004, greenway connections constructed in 2007 and a variety of placemaking and landscaping projects have been completed since 2011, according to the city.
