This is the fourth consecutive Presidential Inauguration in which the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office has provided personnel. There will be approximately 200 law enforcement officers from throughout Minnesota working at the event including personnel from several metro area agencies, according to authorities.

Because more than a million people are expected in Washington D.C., law enforcement organizers ask other agencies to augment existing personnel in order to handle crowd control and security duties.
