Target Avoids Photoshop In New Swimwear Campaign

Target said the images from its new swimwear ad campaign show women "without filters."

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Minneapolis-based Target's new swim campaign is drawing attention for avoiding the use of photoshop.

Target recently announced that this season's swimwear models are "four amazing women love showing off their authentic selves and know a thing or two about rocking a swimsuit with confidence."

“Target shows women of all shapes, sizes and colors looking beautiful and confident in themselves and their swimsuits and that resonates with women everywhere,” Target model Kamie Crawford said in a statement. “Confidence is contagious!”

"Target is committed to empowering women to feel confident in what they wear by offering a variety of style choices. We loved working with these women because they embody confidence and inspire [others] to embrace and be proud of who they are, regardless of their size or shape," Target spokesperson Jessica Carlson recently told Cosmopolitan.

"It was important to us to use photography that represented their true beauty, without filters."

“I feel most confident in a two-piece suit with a high waist bottom and a top that fits just right,” model Denise Bidot said.

“When you're a curvy girl it can be hard to find a suit that fits perfectly in all the right places, but Target definitely has accomplished that with their swimwear. Once you find that perfect suit that fits just right it will give you that extra boost of confidence that will make your pool or beach day even better.”
