IFP 3-day Grand Opening Events
Join us for Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) Minnesota's grand opening of Marsden/Gustafson Gallery in St. Paul, Minn.

The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) Minnesota supports independent filmmakers and other media artists through education, funding, consulting and networking as part of its mission to advance the arts community in the Twin Cities. The new media center will serve as a hub for artists to connect, collaborate and showcase their talents. They are celebrating its new media arts center with a three-day grand opening. With state-of-the-art equipment, multiple classrooms, gallery space and an open layout to encourage collaboration, the new center promises to be a destination for media artists looking to inspire and encourage each other. The new center will aid IFP Minnesota in its mission to support independent filmmakers and other artists by growing the Twin Cities arts community. — Grand opening of the Marsden/Gustafson Gallery; This event celebrates not only the opening of the new gallery, but also the lives of Ann Marsden and Gerald “Gus” Gustafson, two icons of the Twin Cities arts community. A documentary on Ann Marsden will be shown. Wine, beer and snacks will be served.

Saturday, August 22, IFP Minnesota will host a grand opening gala from 6-10 p.m.
— The event features special guests from Los Angeles’s Film Independent and IFP New York, as well as coverage by Filmmaker Magazine. The evening also involves a short program from IFP Minnesota and IFP National, and the announcement of the Minnesota Screenwriting Residency. The gala provides a great opportunity for artists to network and experience the new center. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased at ifpmn.org, with the first 50 receiving a one-year IFP Minnesota membership valued at $85. Food, wine and cocktails will be served.

Sunday, August 23rd, Open House from 12-4 p.m.
