Inmate Caught After Hennepin County Jail Escape: Sheriff
A manhunt began after the inmate escaped Wednesday morning, police said.

MINNEAPOLIS — The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, in coordination with the U.S. Marshal Service and several local law enforcement agencies, caught an inmate they say escaped the county jail Wednesday morning.
Michael Frank Simon was apprehended in Little Canada at about 10 a.m. Wednesday, police said. He escaped the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center around 7 a.m., according to authorities.
Simon was booked into the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center on Sept. 25 for financial transaction card fraud and a Minnesota Department of Corrections hold for burglary.
