EJ Gurley, Kingfield Market’s manager, reflected on the year’s ups and downs. “The weather early this season was a challenge, we had to dodge rain and tornados,” Gurley said. Cold weather early in the season also made it difficult for vendors to grow enough vegetables to bring to market.
Despite obstacles early in the season, Gurley said that Kingfield Farmers Market attracted 11% more people than the previous year and that the final markets of the season showed no drop in attendance.
Farmers Market fans have one last chance to shop the market this season at Kingfield’s indoor Holiday Market Sunday November 20th.
