MN Election Recap: Republicans, Democrats Score Wins
Minnesota was a mixed bag on Election Day, but the state's "blue" streak continues for presidential elections.
MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN — Joe Biden is the projected winner of Minnesota, which means the state will keeps its historic "blue" streak alive. The Land of 10,000 Lakes has not been won by a Republican president since the 1960s.
Additionally, Democrat Sen. Tina Smith is projected to win her reelection campaign over Republican challenger Jason Lewis.
However, Republicans scored wins as well.

Democratic Rep. Collin Peterson, who has represented western Minnesota since 1991, is projected to lose his reelection bid to Republican Michelle Fischbach, the Associated Press reports.
Peterson is one of the few conservative "blue dog" Democrats left in Congress. Additionally, Republicans Pete Stauber and Tom Emmer won their reelection bids.

Democrats Ilhan Omar, Dean Phillips, and Betty McCollum are also going back to Washington D.C.
As of Wednesday morning:
- The race between Republican Tyler Kistner and Democrat Rep. Angie Craig is extremely close
- Republican Rep. Jim Hagedorn is narrowly leading Democrat Dan Feehan
- State Republicans are likely to hold onto control over the Minnesota Senate. State Democrats will likely maintain control over the Minnesota House.
