MINNEAPOLIS — A Minneapolis man is accused of threatening to kill judges, clerks, and deputies in Hennepin County over the phone this summer.
Federal authorities charged Peter R. Berry — a convicted felon — with three counts of interstate transmission of threats in connection with calls made to several county departments in June.
On June 25, Berry told a county employee over the phone his plans to "come down and kill everybody, all the judges, clerks and deputies," according to federal authorities.

Berry made his first court appearance Wednesday, the Star Tribune reported. He was denied bail because he "is a flight risk" and "a danger to the community," U.S. Magistrate Judge Hildy Bowbeer ruled.
