MINNEAPOLIS — Sheridan Elementary School is closed Friday after it was broken into overnight. School officials made the announcement after staff arrived for the morning and discovered the break-in.

"Several classrooms" were affected, officials said.

Sheridan is an art and Spanish dual immersion school located in the Northeast neighborhood of Minneapolis.
