The Minneapolis Kitty Hall Election Is Open: Vote Now
Kittens and cats from Minneapolis Animal Care and Control will take over City Hall. Vote now for your favorite "cat-idates."
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Kittens and cats from Minneapolis Animal Care and Control will take over City Hall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 27 for Minneapolis Kitty Hall. All of the cats and kittens will be available fur adoption.
Kitty Hall, held in the City Hall Rotunda, 350 S. Fifth St., features 18 "pawsitively" adorable, cuddly kittens. Six ambitious adult cats will run for elected "pawsitions": three "cat-idates" for Kitty of Minneapolis meow-or, and three cat-idates for Kitty Council president. Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges will present the election winners at the event.
“Kitty Hall is a perfect opportunity to talk about the awesome work Minneapolis Animal Care and Control does every day,” Mayor Betsy Hodges said in a statement. “I look forward to welcoming families from throughout the city for this event and I look forward to seeing many of them take home one of the adorable kittens that will be up for adoption. It will be a fun day.”
