Minneapolis Man Used Snapchat To Produce Child Porn: Feds
The 40-year-old man pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography and was sentenced Thursday.
MINNEAPOLIS — A Minneapolis man was sentenced to 35 years in prison and given a lifetime term of supervised release after producing sexually explicit videos of minors, United States Attorney Andrew M. Luger announced Friday.
In June, Jay Tyrell Whiteford, 40, pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography. Whiteford was sentenced Thursday.
In March 2020, Whiteford used his Snapchat account to communicate with at least two minors, authorities said. While on Snapchat, Whiteford used an alias and claimed he was 16 years old, according to investigators.

Whiteford persuaded the minors to create and send to him sexually explicit videos and images, according to authorities.
