Minneapolis Mayor Announces Search Committee For New Police Chief
The committee will work with the private search firm that the city of Minneapolis hired.
MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey Wednesday announced his search committee to assist in the process of hiring a new police chief.
The search committee will work with Public Sector Search & Consulting Inc., the private search firm the city hired.The committee will interview candidates vetted by PSSC and make recommendations to Frey for the final consideration.
"This search committee brings together community leaders and stakeholders who understand the importance and impact of this search process," said Frey in a news release.

"We are drawing from deep talent and a broad range of experience – but most importantly, this committee reflects our city’s values. We need to get this hire right, and this committee will bring an honest and intentional approach to making sure we do."
