Minneapolis Officer Pinned To Car During Tuesday Police Chase
The police chase began in Mill Ruins Park, and involved three different stolen cars, police said.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Six people were arrested, and two officers were injured, after a police chase in Minneapolis Tuesday night. Minneapolis police say on Tuesday at about 7:30 p.m., officers investigating felony-level crimes saw two stolen cars they were looking for pull into Mill Ruins Park. The vehicles fled after officers tried to pull them over.
One car sideswiped an officer, pinning him against his squad car. The other vehicle hit the door of the squad car, knocking it into the officer and forcing him to the ground.
One of the cars got away, police said. The Minnesota State Patrol used a helicopter to provide air surveillance on the other vehicle, which was still being pursued.

At 18th street and Newton Avenue North, the suspects pulled over, parked that car and got into another stolen vehicle that was parked there and they drove off.
Officers tried to pull that car over, but it fled.

The State Patrol helicopter continued to monitor the pursuit and provided information to the squads below. The suspect car drove to an address on the 2000 block of Queen Avenue North and the occupants fled, some going into a home.
Police set up a perimeter around the residence but failed to persuade the suspects to come out.
Officers obtained a search warrant and just before 1 a.m. Wednesday, police made six arrests, three men and three women.
The two injured officers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a hospital and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
