MINNEAPOLIS — The Minneapolis Police Department announced Monday that it is hiring 50 officers and 40 recruits. The public job listings come after a citywide ballot measure to dismantle and replace the department failed on Election Day.
The department says it's looking for "people who have a strong sense and commitment for public service, outstanding character, sound judgment, excellent work ethic, effective oral and written communication skills, interpersonal tact, empathy, and compassion."
Both positions are full-time positions and require working weekends and holidays.

Police officer (recruit)
