Snapchat Update: Minneapolis Police Issue Warning
The Minneapolis Police Department is warning users about a recent Snapchat update that includes a new map feature.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The Minneapolis Police Department is warning about a recent Snapchat update that includes a new map feature. The map feature allows users to see where their friends are located on a map.
Although Snapchat has said the only users you can see on the map are your friends, police are asking users to consider what information you are sharing on this app.
"Snapchat has a lot of young users on it," police said in a statement. "If your children use Snapchat, please check to ensure they have their location set to “ghost mode”, that way no one can see where they are."
