MINNEAPOLIS — A 53-year-old woman in Minneapolis says she shot and killed a man on her property in self-defense.
The woman shot Martin L. Johnson, 30, at her property on the 3300 block of 25th Avenue South in Minneapolis on Feb. 22 at about 8:40 p.m., police said. He died less than an hour later at the Hennepin County Medical Center. Johnson's cause of death was a gunshot to the torso, according to the county examiner's office.
The woman told police that Johnson broke into her garage, and as a result fired four warning shots with a handgun, according to a search warrant affidavit reviewed by the Star Tribune.
