Minnehaha Academy's Ruth Berg To Be Memorialized Sunday
A memorial service for Minnehaha Academy receptionist Ruth Berg, who died in last week's gas leak explosion, will take place Sunday.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The life of Ruth Berg, a cherished and important part of the Minnehaha Academy community, will be celebrated with a memorial service on Sunday, Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. in the school's lower and middle school chapel (4200 West River Parkway, Minneapolis). Her family will receive visitors before at 2 p.m.
Berg, who worked for Minnehaha Academy for 17 years, was one of two people killed in a gas leak explosion that destroyed one of the school's buildings last week.
"As our receptionist, she welcomed everyone with a smile and was always willing to go the extra mile to help our students, families, and staff," the school said in a statement. "She will be greatly missed. Please keep Ruth's family, and our school community, in your prayers."
