Minnesota-Based Restaurant Explores Adding Sports Gambling
You could soon be placing bets and wings orders in the same place.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Buffalo Wild Wings is famous for offering wings, beer, and sports at its restaurants located across the United States. Thanks to a recent Supreme Court decision, the Minneapolis-based chain could add gambling to its menu.
"As the largest sports bar in America, we believe Buffalo Wild Wings is uniquely positioned to leverage sports gaming to enhance the restaurant experience for our guests," a company spokesperson told Patch.
"We are actively exploring opportunities, including potential partners, as we evaluate the next steps for our brand."

Back in May, the nation's highest court struck down a federal law that banned gambling in most states. The 1992 Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act made it unlawful for a state to sponsor, operate, advertise, promote, license, or authorize by law sports wagering.
Four states were exempted from the law – Nevada, Montana, Delaware, and Oregon.

The 7-2 ruling will allow other states, including Minnesota, to legalize sports gambling. The Minnesota Legislature will have to change the current state laws that ban gambling, however.
