Minnesota Fraternity Suspended For 'Inappropriate' Behavior
A fraternity chapter at the University of Minnesota has been suspended after what its main office called "inappropriate chapter culture."
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A fraternity chapter at the University of Minnesota has been suspended following what its main office called "inappropriate chapter culture, behavior and operations."
On Friday, Feb. 17, Delta Upsilon International Fraternity announced it had temporarily suspended its chapter at the University of Minnesota "effective immediately" as a result of an ongoing investigation into inappropriate behavior.
WCCO reported that the investigation is a result of alleged sexual assaults involving chapter members taking place in the spring and winter of 2015.

"As the investigation continues, the fraternity will not be allowed to conduct any chapter activities including social events," the international fraternity said in a statement. "Once our investigation is complete, we, in coordination with the university administration, will take all appropriate action."
"Delta Upsilon strives to provide a positive, safe environment for all members, guests and the entire Minnesota campus community," the fraternity added.
