Minnesota Gophers: Bowl Game, Opponent Announced

MINNEAPOLIS — The 10-2 Minnesota Gophers will play the Auburn Tigers on Jan. 1, 2020, in the Outback Bowl. The game will be played in Tampa, Florida.

College football reporter Brett McMurphy broke the news Sunday afternoon.

Auburn went 9-3 this season, with wins over Alabama and Oregon, and losses to Georgia, Florida, and LSU.

Every year, the Outback Bowl features teams from the SEC and the Big Ten Conference. This year, the game will be played at 12 p.m. central time.
