Minnesota Twins Clinch 2017 Playoffs In Historic Run

The Minnesota Twins are the first team in MLB history to make the playoffs the season after losing at least 100 games.

They've done it. The Minnesota Twins flipped the script, going from being the worst team in the Major League last season with 103 losses to making the postseason in 2017. They're the first team in MLB history to make the playoffs the season after losing at least 100 games.

The Twins will take on the New York Yankees in a wildcard playoff in the Bronx Tuesday.

After losing to the Cleveland Indians Wednesday night, Twins players stayed in their locker room at Progressive Field and watched as the Chicago White Sox tried to finish off the playoff hopes of the Los Angels Angels. The game went into extra innings, when the White Sox's Nicky Delmonico blasted a walk-off home run, clinching the first playoff appearance in seven years for the Twins.
