Minnesota Vikings Vs. Carolina Panthers: Kickoff Time, Odds, TV

The New Orleans Saints all but lost their chance for a No. 1 overall seed in the NFC playoff race after losing to the Atlanta Falcons in the final minutes of Thursday's game. That's good news for the Minnesota Vikings.

Minnesota and the Philadelphia Eagles are both leading the conference at 10-2, but the Vikings currently posses the top seed with a tiebreaker. If the Vikings finish with the best record in the NFC, they will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs, including the Super Bowl.

This week, the Vikings hit the road for the third consecutive Sunday to take on Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. The Vikings would clinch the NFC North with a win in Carolina.

NFC North rivals Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions will hope to keep their playoff hopes alive with wins against the Cleveland Browns and the Chicago Bears, respectively.

According to the New York Times' "playoff machine," the Lions have an eight percent chance of making the playoffs, while the Packers have a seven percent chance. The Vikings, meanwhile, have a 99 percent chance at winning the division and a 49 percent chance at clinching the top seed in the NFC, according to the Times.
