TWIN CITIES, MN — Hot and dry conditions will return for the second half of July. "After we return to above normal temperatures this weekend, these warmer temperatures are favored to continue through the end of the month," the National Weather Service said.

"This combined with few chances for rain over the next week is not good news with a drought across much of Minnesota and part of Wisconsin."

The forecast will only worsen what is already a severe drought for much of the region.
