Minnesota Weather: Winter Storm Watch Issued For Twin Cities
Before the snow arrives, there will be freezing rain. Drivers should plan on dangerously-icy road conditions throughout the day.

TWIN CITIES, MN — The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for counties in the Twin Cities metro area, including Hennepin, Anoka, Ramsey, Washington, Carver, Scott, and Dakota.
Between 4 to 7 inches of snow could fall Tuesday evening in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro.
Before the snow arrives, there will be freezing rain. Drivers should plan on dangerously-icy road conditions.

"Freezing rain is ongoing in south central and southeastern Minnesota, and then a wintry mix of precipitation will spread north from southern Minnesota across east central Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin later this afternoon," says the National Weather Service.
"Snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches appear likely for portions of south central MN, Twin Cities metro, and northwest WI although there is still uncertainty where the heaviest snowfall will develop. Stay tuned for forecast updates."

Tuesday: Rain and snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain before 4pm, then freezing rain, possibly mixed with snow between 4pm and 5pm, then snow after 5pm. High near 34. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Tuesday Night: Snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain before 11pm, then a slight chance of snow between 11pm and midnight. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 23. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Veterans Day: Sunny, with a high near 38. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 26. Southwest wind around 5 mph.
Thursday: A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 35. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 17. West northwest wind around 5 mph.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 34. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Friday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow after midnight. Partly cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 33 by 5am. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday: A chance of snow before 8am, then a chance of rain and snow between 8am and noon, then a chance of rain after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. South southeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Saturday Night: A chance of rain before 5am, then a slight chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 43. West wind 5 to 15 mph.
