MN Republican: Vax Mandate Supporters 'Equivalent' To Slave Owners
Walter Hudson, who was elected to the Minnesota House last month, made the comments at a "Mask Off MN" event on Sunday.
BLOOMINGTON, MN — An incoming Minnesota Republican says that politicians and voters who support COVID-19 vaccine mandates "are morally equivalent" to slave owners.
Walter Hudson, who will represent Minnesota House District 30A starting next month, made the remark at Sunday's "Mask Off MN" event in Bloomington.
Hudson is a current member of the Albertville City Council.

"The plantation owner who said, 'I need cotton, and you’re going to pick it' is morally equivalent to the person today who says, 'I don’t want to get sick, so you have to take the jab.'"
"And I want to be clear," Hudson continued. "I mean exactly what I just said. OK? It's not a gaffe. I mean it. You are equivalent to a plantation owner who enslaved Black people and forced them to work for you."

On Monday, Hudson doubled down on Twitter:
"When you claim ownership over another person's life, which Tim Walz, Dr. Fauci, and the entire "public health" establishment did, you become a slaver. This is not my 'claim.' Forced vaccination is an annexation of human bodies, obviously."
The Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party quickly pounced on the remarks.
"This is not some fringe event for Republicans outside the mainstream of their party," the DFL said on their main Twitter account.
Democrats pointed out that former Republican candidate for governor Scott Jensen, and former Republican House candidate Mark Bishofsky, were both in attendance.
