MN Weather: More Snow Thursday, Friday Before Warmup

TWIN CITIES, MN — The Twin Cities will see chances for snow Thursday and Friday before a big warm-up this weekend.

Less than half an inch is in the forecast for Thursday, but about an inch of snow could fall Friday.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 23. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 27 by 4am. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of snow before noon. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 38. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. West northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Friday: Snow likely, mainly afternoon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Calm wind becoming east northeast around 5 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Friday Night: A 50 percent chance of snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west northwest after midnight. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Saturday: Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 30. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
