MN Weather: Wednesday Will See Highs In The 50s
Much of the snow that fell over the weekend will melt amid warming temperatures this week.
TWIN CITIES, MN — Following Friday's snowstorm, temperatures will spike this week. The high for Wednesday in the Twin Cities metro area is 51 degrees.
Final snow totals from the weekend storm, according to the National Weather Service:
- Chanhassen: 9.0 inches
- Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport: 11.8 inches
- St. Cloud: 2.5 inches
- Eau Claire: 8.9 inches

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 37. Calm wind.
Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 41. Southeast wind around 10 mph.
Tuesday Night: Patchy fog after 7pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday: A chance of rain between noon and 3pm, then a chance of rain and thunderstorms after 3pm. Patchy fog before 5pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 51. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Wednesday Night: A chance of rain and thunderstorms before 9pm, then a chance of rain between 9pm and midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Breezy, with a south southeast wind 15 to 20 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 21 by 9am. Breezy, with a west wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
