Monster Jam Returns to Minneapolis

The Metrodome was a regular stop on the Monster Jam tour until it was demolished in 2014. U.S. Bank Stadium will host Monster Jam Dec. 10.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The opening of U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis has provided an opportunity for Monster Jam, the event packed with massive trucks that race and jump across a dirt course, to return to the Twin Cities. The date for the return is this Saturday, Dec. 10.

Tickets for the Minneapolis event are still on sale.

The old Metrodome was a regular stop on the Monster Jam tour until it was slated for demolition in January, 2014. The final Monster Jam event in the building was held on Dec. 7, 2013.

Minneapolis fans have been supporting Monster Jam activity since 1989.

Plans call for 300 dump truck loads of dirt to transform the Minnesota Vikings football field into a Monster Jam track, according to a news release.
