Mystery Still Surrounds Lowry Hill Tunnel Crash In Minneapolis
As of Monday morning, the Minnesota State Patrol said it is still working to determine who was driving a Lincoln Town Car in the crash.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) is still working to determine who was driving a Lincoln Town Car involved in a crash on Interstate 94 in the Lowry Hill Tunnel in Minneapolis late Saturday night. The crash left at least one person with life-threatening injuries and caused a major backup that lasted until Sunday morning.
Both the Lincoln Town Car and a Subaru Outback were traveling eastbound on Interstate 94 through the Lowry Hill Tunnel just after 11 p.m. Saturday. The Lincoln Town Car was either in the left or center lane when it struck the Subaru which was in the right lane, according to authorities.
The Lincoln spun out coming to final rest up on the hill outside the tunnel. As of Monday morning, the crash is still under investigation to determine the driver of the Lincoln, authorities say.

Lataija Willis, 26, of Brooklyn Park, was in the Lincoln at the time of the crash suffered life-threatening injuries, according to MSP. Willis was hospitalized at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Another occupant of the Lincoln, Michael Burke, 29, was not injured in the crash.

Subaru occupants Gregory Rathmann, 41, and Kimberly K. Rathmann, 39, both of Saint Paul, were not injured in crash.
